Samatol Foundation's main objective is to create awareness among the citizens of India about Child Rights and Security. Samatol's Final Goal is for India to be
“Child Friendly Society”.
In order to achieve the goal, we have proposed the following.
Samatol's Area of Influence
Increase Samatol’s work to all junction stations in Maharashtra and further increase it's coverage throughout India. We want to prevent the runaway problem at the root and catch the child before he boards the train.
Samatol is already functioning on junction stations in Maharashtra like Mumbai C.S.T., Thane, Kalyan, Kurla  Borivali, Bandra, Dadar, Pune and Bhusaval. It also wishes to increase its area of work to stations like Manmad, Nanded, Amravati, Aurangabad, Nagpur, Miraj, Latur etc.

Samatol Mitra/Friends
We want as many people as possible to join as Samatol Friends (Mitra) and become a part of the movement aiding in creating a Child Friendly Society. To find out more and sign up, visit our Samatol Friends Page.

Vocational Training
Open Vocational training centres to provide children with lifetime practical skills which can help them in future. The problem is that lot of these children have little or no education and so will find it hard to find jobs in the future. With these vocational skills, they will be able to use these practical skills in field of work and earn livelihood and become independent and self dependent.

Number of Open Shelters
Increase the number of open shelters useful for temporarily holding children whilst their parents and family are tracked down for reuniting with their families.

Collaborate with other NGOs
Collaborate with other NGOs who are involved in a similar field of work so that we can increase our coverage of stations. This will help in saving more children from the dangers of railway platforms. This will also help us explore new stations where we have not been able to access so far.

Collaborate with Government Organisations
Collaborate with Government organisations e.g. Childline for more support in this field. We would also like an increased participation from Government officials in care and protection of runaway children.
Samatol does the work of Child Rehabilitation in each district and region of India. It wishes to reunite the children with their respective families, learning in their own mother tongue and following their respective religious and cultural practices. Samatol believes, this work of Child Rehabilitation can be carried out more efficiently with the help of the Government Authorities.
Raise awareness in society for Child Rights and Child Security
Samatol proposes that there should be awareness regarding Child Rights and Security among children and parents as well as Governmental Authorities. These include the Home Dept.(The Police), Women and Children Development Dept., Railways Dept., Transport Dept., Health Department (Hospitals), Education Dept. (Schools and Colleges).
Counselling Centre for Child Rights Grievances
Samatol Foundation plans to start counselling centres for solving grievances about Child Rights and security. Our experts will answer questions related to problems faced by children and parents.
